The Government Pension Offset (GPO) and the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) were eliminated by the Social Security Fairness Act in 2025. The software no longer applies these provisions when calculating benefits.

For a time, however, in our Maximize My Social Security software, we will be allowing customers who fall under these provisions to run their plans with and without the provisions applied for purposes of comparison.
