Changing Investment Strategies
To change your investment strategy, return to the Full Risk report set up and choose a different investment strategy. Choosing a strategy with more stocks and less bonds will create outcomes with greater variation representing more upside and more downside. Choosing a strategy with more bonds will decrease this upside and downside variation.
Changing Spending Behavior
To change the spending behavior, go to the base plan and in Settings and Assumptions, change the return rate on regular assets and retirement assets. To be more cautious lower the rates of return. To be more aggressive, raise the rates of return. MaxiFi will use these return rate settings as the as-if rate of return you set for each year going forward in the Monte Carlo simulation.
