In the case where your profile needs to switch from married to single such as a divorce or death, your plan will have to be deleted and then rebuilt as a single plan (single/divorced or single/widowed).
It may be helpful in this situation to visit each adult's Social Security Record area and download the earnings history as a csv file before deleting the plan. It may also be helpful to take a few screen shots of pages such as Housing or Account Balances to provide quick access to information that is otherwise time consuming to find.
Switching from single to married also requires that you delete the plan and rebuild as single.
