The Social Security Record screen gathers information about benefits you're already collecting as well as your Social Security earnings history. Do not enter information on this screen about planned future benefit dates. There is another screen for that.
Tips:
- On this screen, "Retirement" refers to the month and year you used as your eligibility date for Social Security benefit, which is often different from the month and year you quit working.
- You can enter your actual gross Social Security benefit rather than a full earnings history if you don't have any planned current or future earnings.
