The Social Security Record screen is intended to capture information about the past, not about what you would consider doing in the future. This includes your Social Security earnings history.

Tips:

  • On this screen, "Retirement" refers to the month and year you used as your eligibility date for Social Security benefit, which is often different from the month and year you quit working.
  • You can enter your actual gross Social Security benefit if you don't have current or future earnings and if you don't have a non-covered  pension.
