MaxiFi allows you to indicate that a pension is a military pension. If you specify "military," MaxiFi's state tax calculations are programed to follow the rules for military pensions in the state you are living in, the state specified in your primary housing set up. For example, in many states, a military pension is fully excludable from taxes.
This setting does not impact federal taxes, only state taxes. If some portion of your military pension is taxable and some not, a workaround like creating two pensions, one military and one general, may be required.
